  • Albert J. Goddard was the last mayor of Fremont before it was annexed by Seattle in 1891; he served on the Seattle City Council 1892-1894, in the Washington State House of Representatives 1894-1895, and again on the City Council 1908-1915. At the time this picture was taken he was still active in politics. He last ran unsuccessfully for a City Council seat in 1931.
  • William H Murphy's owned a meat market in Fremont. He served on the Seattle City Council 1902-1910.
  • British-born George F. Cotterill was a close colleague of the engineer and reformer Reginald H. Thomson, and served as Seattle mayor 1912-1914.
