Summary

Description
English: Future site of Montreal's Olympic Park, site of the 1976 Summer Olympics, in 1969. Highlighted is Aird Avenue, site of the Kinsmen Coaster Class soap box race from 1939-1940, with the Maurice Richard Arena to the right. This aerial photograph looks north, with Sherbrooks St. E. running across the photo a third down from top, Boyce Steet (now Pierre-de Coubertin Ave) running parallel just below the arena, and Maisonneuve-Rosemont Hospital at upper right, in the distance. Photo is by Le Présent du Passé Montréal on Flickr.
