Summary

Description
English: A Sprinkling of Snow at Girvan There were only a few centimetres of snow, but it was cold here during the 2010 "Big Freeze". Being next to the sea, this area has had higher temperatures and lower snowfall than places only a few miles inland. Typical afternoon temperatures at Girvan last week were around +1C, in contrast with Crosshill's -4C, only 12 miles up the Girvan valley.
