Description9-11 Memorial Bridge, Saddle Rock, NY August 14, 2022 E.jpg
English: The 9-11 Memorial Bridge in the Inc. Village of Saddle Rock, NY on August 14, 2022. The dedication and memorial plaque is visible at center, right under the flagpole which features a Star-Spangled Banner which "yet waves" ever-so proudly.
The bridge (historically known as the Saddle Rock Bridge) was renamed due to the clear view of the World Trade Center from the bridge; many congregated on the bridge on September 11, 2001, watching in horror as the horrific events on that tragic day unfolded. The bridge carries West Shore Road/Bayview Avenue over the water, connecting Saddle Rock and Kings Point.
