Purpose of use in article (WP:NFCC#8)	It will serve as the primary means of visual identification at the top of the article dedicated to the entity in question.
Not replaceable with free media because (WP:NFCC#1)	As a logo, it is not easily replaceable with a free alternative. Critique or commentary cannot be made of a certain non-public-domain game without displaying at least a logo or a screenshot of their game itself. It is not possible to display accurately about the game 5D Chess as a whole without displaying the graphics that Thunkspace used in their game. Using custom public-domain chessboards concepting the idea of the game 5D Chess will not be able to achieve the same purpose.
Minimal use (WP:NFCC#3)	Only one logo is all that is really necessary for the purpose of allowing people to critique on the main elements of the game, especially via initial recognition of the game. This image also has a low-resolution, and as such it should be small enough that it can be easily identifiable on a computer screen but not be large enough for counterfeit purposes.
