Description

Studebaker built wagons in the 1800s, electric automobiles starting in 1902 and gasoline vehicles from 1904 to 1966. Studebakers top of the line President name was first used from 1926-42 and then again used from 1955-58, a premium trimmed model again. The 1956 President received boxier bodywork, with pronounced eyebrows over the headlights and large tailfins. Studebakers available in 1956; The Six Cylinder Champion Custom, Champion Deluxe and Champion Regal The V8 Studebaker Commander Custom and Deluxe. The upmarket 195hp 289 V8 Studebaker President (available in 2 and 4 door Sedan , 2 door Pinehurst Wagon and longer wheelbase President Classic 4 door Sedan). From 1956 2 door Coupe and Hardtop Studebakers were known as the Hawk; Coupes, 6 cyl Flight Hawk and V8 Power Hawk
