Summary

Description
English: 1933 Isotta Fraschini Tipo 8A SS 2-Door Dual Cowl Sports Tourer by Castagna at the 2021 Greenwich Concours d'Elegance. The dual-cowl body (with unusual, extra-long doors to provide access to the rear) is a one-off and took two years to complete; the chassis (#1664) was actually completed in 1931. This was displayed by Isotta at the 1933 Paris Salon, after which it was shipped to IF's Manhattan dealer who sold it to radio comedian Joe "Wanna Buy a Duck" Penner. Later, it was bought by Pacific Auto Rentals who rented it to various Hollywood studios in the 1940s and 1950s. The car was restored in the late 1960s and has been raking in trophies ever since.
