English: 1924 Renault NN 6CV Town Car at the 2022 Greenwich Concours d'Elegance. This is one of two made for Metro Pictures (a forerunner of MGM) to ferry child movie stars to opening nights. There was one car for New York and one for Los Angeles; this is the LA car. The NN was built between 1924 and 1929 in 150,000 examples, reportedly the two Metro Picures cars were the only ones sold in the United States. The NN has a 951 cc inline-four engine and a floor-shifted three-speed manual transmission. The Town Car coachwork is by Jean-Henri Labourdette. Tan fabric interior, the exterior brightwork is all nickel. |
