Englishdom is an online English language school established in 2010.[1] As of September 2023, the school had over 100,000 teachers and more than 1.2 mln active students.[2] In April 2022, the company launched a charitable initiative to support Ukrainians affected by Russia's full-scale invasion. Englishdom arranged free group lessons for adults and children for a year and provided free access to all courses for a year.[3][4]

Englishdom was founded in 2010 in CIS region.[5][6][7] In 2011–2016, the company launched the Speaking Clubs platform and opened offcies in Poland,[8][9] Slovakia, Lithuania[10] and Hungary.  In October 2017, Englishdom launched its ED Words mobile application for interactive vocabulary study, available on the App Store and Google Play.[11][12][13]

In August 2019, Englishdom released their ED Class platform to conduct individual classes via video calls, and later launched a mobile application on the App Store and Google Play.[14][15][16][17]

In August 2020, the company entered the list of the top 100 EdTech ventures in Eastern Europe.[18][19] In 2021, the company became part of AllRight holding.[20][21][22] In March 2023, it opened its first office in Romania.[23][24]

In 2023, Englishdom received the English Online Award as a result of voting during the Ukrainian People's Prize.[25][26][27]

Charity[edit]

In April 2022, the company launched a charitable initiative to support Ukrainians affected by Russia's full-scale invasion. Englishdom arranged free group lessons for adults and children for a year and provided free access to all courses for a year.[28][29][3]

During the Russian-Ukrainian war, Englishdom raised over 700,000 UAH for the Come Back Alive Foundation, Serhiy Prytula Charity Foundation, Group 35,[30] UNITED 24 and Braveproject in support of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.[31]
